2nd edition of the commonwealth championships
The 2nd Commonwealth Championships was an outstanding success. More than one hundred and fifty athletes from fifteen nations participated at the championships in North Wales.
The participating athletes and federations were introduced to three very different events, over three very varied terrains in three very unique locations.
The 24 Hour race took place at the heart of the city in Lladudno. John Pares (WAL) and Lizzy Hawker (ENG) were the top winners at this event.
The Mountain Up- and Down- event took place in Llanberis in the shadow of Snowdonia mountains. McMullan (ENG) and Adams (ENG) won the event in their respective divisions.
The 53.75km Trail race took place in Anglesey through Newborough Forest. Gardiner (WAL) and Gooderham (ENG) took top honours at the race.
At the end of the three day competition, race organizers, athletes and team management were very happy with the championships.
Thank you to all for making these championships a true success!
